That’s how it was described at one of the press conferences I attended this weekend and that’s exactly the experience I shared with 10,000 plus strangers at the Cloof Wine Estate, Darling.
Just to clarify – the town is Darling, I wasn’t trying to be all Capetonian by calling you darling, darling 😉
I had the privilege of attending a couple EpicFierce festivals while I was in the UK, but I was well and truly blown away by the slickness of the weekend event that has the ability to be Africa’s answer to Glastonbury. For the record, I am a festival-starved Jo’burger and yet to experience Cape treats such as RAMfest or Up the Creek, but if Daisies is anything to go by then I’ll be conducting sacrificial offerings to the Rock Gods for ongoing partnerships between Velvet Sky and Webtickets for similar R450 return specials to Yo Mamma City. I survived. It wasn’t too good to be true 😉
Big up to 5 Gum for making awesome experiences happen in SA or backing experiences to make them more awesomer. Below are two pics from the weekend to visually depict why you should clear your diary in 2012 and beg, borrow or steal or way to Darling, darlings!
Nuff said 😉
